Growing and Cooking Things
First Cannibal: 'I hate her guts'
Second Cannibal: 'Well just eat the vegetables'!
For Cooking things we meet every Wednesday for two sessions; one in the morning and afternoon. It's a fun dynamic class, a place where we not only create recipes and share food but also share lives, stories, culture and connect uniquely with each other.
We all learn and what cements us together is the fabulous food we create.
In Growing Things we have created the best high rise veggie patch ever with a view from the 11th Floor of 660 Elizabeth St. The fruit and vegetables grown here connect us with our background such as Russian kale, Vietnamese mint, spinach, basil, tomatoes, strawberries, coriander, Chinese broccoli, and eggplants to name a few!. They provide us with the staple of our recipes in Cooking Things. Try and tell the learners what silver beet can't be put in!! Growing things connects us all with nature and gives us time to reflect and give gratitude to the earth. Come and join us and produce the best recipe of all comforting compost!!
